Tromsø is an island in the northern part of Norway. There are no railways this far north, but there is an airport and plenty of sea!  The coastline Hurtigruten is recommended for a more contemplative and spectacular way of traveling. You could start in Bergen or in Kirkenes, or anywhere on the long coast - go north or go south.
