We’d like to invite you all to get to know each other – right where you are – in the city of Tromsø and its beautiful surroundings.

On the first night, we’ll head for a welcome reception on the campus of the world’s northernmost university. At the opening ceremony the next morning we will present both a film premiere and the voice of Sámi/World Music artist Mari Boine. In the afternoon, we’ll walk the streets of Tromsø with guides who are also familiar with the darker corners. Late at night we’ll unwind as we listen to a choir filling the cathedral with northern songs. On the third evening we’ll head out of the city, taking a bus tour along the fjords and mountains of Kvaløya, ending up in the fishing village of Sommarøy. If the temperature allows, we will enjoy our conference dinner outdoors, and dance on the dock under the midnight sun.
