Social Walking Tour

This short walk around the city centre will introduce you to aspects of the town other than those you would normally see as a tourist. We will focus on services for people in Tromsø with various special needs and wishes for their lives. Places to be visited:
Social Medical Centre – provides a low threshold health service for people abusing drugs.
Café X – a place for former drug users with social gatherings and networking.
Tvibit – a cultural centre for young people. A health service is also provided in this centre.
The City Mission – works with children, youth, families, refugees and people with addiction. problems. Welcome to an alternative tour of Tromsø!

Theatrical Walking Tour

This is a guided tour through the history, architecture and cultural life of Tromsø, with emphasis on the city as the “Gateway to the Arctic”. You will hear famous and lesser known stories, and on the way there will be artistic contributions by professional actors. A pleasant way to obtain a fuller understanding of where you are during these days in June.
